The Catholic Women of Holy Disciples Parish will hold its first meeting of the 2024-2025 season on Monday, Sept 9 at 6:30 pm in Fr. Filip Hall at St. John The Evangelist Church.  All women of both our Churches are invited to attend!  We will be getting together for prayer and a business meeting to discuss our plans for the coming year!  Fr. Antony Prakasam, our Parochial Vicar, and Grace Cuccia, our Church Communication Secretary, have been invited to our meeting so that we can meet them personally.

If you are looking to join a Ministry which helps our parish and our community while establishing wonderful friendships, come learn more about us!  Together the women of our Parish can accomplish so very much. 

You must have read of the devastating flood in our nearby towns.   On September 9th, we will be collecting items for the Food Banks of our neighboring towns.  If you wish to donate, there is a special need for soups with meat, canned meat, cleaning supplies, personal toiletries, gift cards to Stop & Shop, and surprisingly, ketchup!  

Vicki Derouin will have her truck near the side door of St John’s before the meeting to collect items so that they need not be carried into Church.  If you cannot attend the meeting, you may leave items under the table at the side door only on Sept 9th  during the day.  We ask that gift cards be given directly to Vicki outside or during the meeting.  We look forward to getting together!
