The discussion and interchange we had on October 18 with Dan Matthews was very good; looking at how history has shaped how we as Catholics have been affected by our surroundings; politically and morally and how difficult it is for all of us to center our thoughts and actions around our beliefs as followers of Jesus. This summary can't do justice to the flavor, tone and importance of discussion the occurred. It will give you a sense of what we had at the meeting.  It also includes a couple of key references from the US Conference of Catholic Bishops that came up in the discussion and that would serve as a good compass for all us as we get nearer to our November election.
